The first publication of FMF’s curriculum, Growing Your Money: Personal Financial Skills, was not working with the audience – they were not grasping the material in the way it was designed. The type was too small and too close to the graphics. It was an overcrowded workbook which goes against it’s intent to reach an audience with an education on or above a tenth grade level. We redesigned the workbooks using brighter colors, larger type, pull quotes, more lines and line spacing for answers, and more white space. This version has been well received by both the audience and the instructors who teach the curriculum as a simplified, cleaner presentation.
